PRIVACY POLICY & DATA PROTECTION

Overview

The purpose of the GDPR is to provide a set of standard data protection laws across the EU, making it easier for you to understand how your data is being used and to give you greater control over its use.

What data do we collect?

​

The data we collect about a child, parent player, umpire, coach or coordinator registering with Junior Netball or Totally Netball includes, full name, email, phone number (and emergency contact number), date of birth of child, school child attends, school year. medical conditions / allergies and learning needs.

​What is the data used for?

​

We use individual's data for the communication of relevant information relating to Junior Netball and marketing communication. We will, on occasions, communicate events or tournaments that are hosted by an external company or organisation. However, your data shall not be shared with the external companies or organisations.

​

All your details and your child's details will be shared with the coaches and coordinators of the sessions your child attends. This is to ensure your safety as well as understand that your child has registered before taking the court.

We also use the data to ensure that Junior Netball, Totally Netball & Senyad Limited are insured through Public Liability. Each parent or guardian will have accepted a disclaimer which details information prior to their child participating.​

Who is your data shared with?

We will only share your data with our partners as a benefit to you.​​

Who, in Totally Netball, is responsible for ensuring compliance?

​

Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) we do not have a statutory requirement to have a Data Protection Officer.

 

How is your data stored?

​

This information is mainly stored in digital form on computers. Our computers have relevant software to protect from viruses and breaches.

​

We do not store any data remotely.

 

How can you remove, limit or correct your data?

​

In the event that you wish to remove, limit or correct the data we have for you, you will need to contact Brett Daynes who will be able to remove or limit your information - his email is brettdaynes@totallynetball.co.uk.

Our main form of communication is through the following mediums:

  • Whatsapp

  • Email

On occasion we may contact you through social media should we be unable to contact you through the above.

If you wish to remove your data but still wish for your child to participate, then we will need to ascertain a different method of communication in order to deliver relevant information.

How can you check what data we have about you?

If you would like to see the data we hold for you, you can request the data by contacting Brett Daynes on brettdaynes@totallynetball.co.uk.

 

Who has access to your data?

​

Directors of Senyad Limited and Totally Netball have access to members’ data in order for them to carry out relevant communication.

​

Once registered with Totally Netball we will share your contact details with the coaches of the session your child will be joining, This is to enable them to contact you in an emergency or updates to the sessions

​

​We will not pass on or sell your details to any companies or 3rd parties.

 

Where does the data come from?

​

Data that has been collected comes from the parent/guardian booking their child on to a service provided by Junior Netball

​

How long do we keep your data for?

​

To ensure that Junior Netball, Totally Netball and Senyad Limited are covered for insurance claims against us, we will keep the data, of anyone who has participated as a player, umpire or coordinator for a maximum of 10 years after they inform us that they no longer participate AND request their data removed.
