CODE OF CONDUCT

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure a positive and respectful environment within Junior Netball. All participants, including players, coaches, parents, and spectators, are expected to adhere to the principles outlined below.

Sportsmanship:

  • Treat all participants, officials, and spectators with respect and courtesy.

  • Display good sportsmanship at all times, win or lose.

  • Accept decisions made by officials without argument or dissent.
     

Fair Play:

  • Play by the rules and encourage others to do so.

  • Do not engage in any form of cheating, including dishonest or unsportsmanlike conduct.
     

Respect for Others:

  • Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of every participant, regardless of their skill level or background.

  • Avoid any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
     

Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with teammates, coaches, and opponents.

  • Celebrate the achievements of all players, regardless of the team.
     

Responsibility:

  • Take responsibility for personal behaviour on and off the court.

  • Arrive on time for practices and games, and communicate promptly about any scheduling conflicts.
     

Equipment and Facilities:

  • Respect and care for league-provided equipment and facilities.

  • Report any damage or safety concerns to league officials promptly.
     

Parental Expectations:

  • Encourage and support your child's participation in a positive manner.

  • Refrain from negative comments or behaviour directed at players, coaches, or officials.
     

Communication:

  • Communicate openly and respectfully with coaches, league officials, and other participants.

  • Address concerns or issues through the appropriate channels, avoiding public criticism.
     

Privacy:

  • Respect the privacy of others, including avoiding the unauthorized sharing of personal information.
     

Compliance with Policies:

  • Adhere to all league policies, including those related to eligibility, registration, and safety.
     

Social Media Usage

  • Use social media responsibly and refrain from posting negative or harmful content related to the league, participants, or officials.

 

Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct:
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the league. The severity of the consequences will depend on the nature and frequency of the violation.

 

By registering your child you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Junior Netball Code of Conduct. You agree to abide by the principles outlined above and understand the consequences of violating this Code of Conduct.
